How do I tell stories to connect the world in the desire to create an empathetic global community?

Why do we have certain reactions when viewing certain imagery, color combinations, or shapes? Why do some things make us feel uncomfortable while others bring us joy? Why is yellow happy? Why is blue sad? Why are large heavy things overwhelming, but light and airy things are calming? The way a word or a picture can manipulate how we think and feel is powerful. Being a designer is like having a kind of superpower in which you can make someone feel one thing or the other. Art is provocative as much as it is evocative. I as as a designer make you feel things to serve a purpose. That purpose is to tell a story.
